Farm Club FAQ

Q. What is farm club?

A. Farm club is an opportunity for children to learn and play in nature. Based on the ‘forest school’ model and run by experienced practitioners, farm club will allow children to safely explore our farm, learn about food and farming, help with things on the farm such as harvesting eggs, and learn traditional forest school skills.

Q What will farm club be like?

A. We will meet at the farm gate on the Rattery Road and then make our way to the farm club site, seeing what interesting things there are to look at and harvest on the way down. Depending on the season, we'll play games, learn forest skills, forage for food, cook on an open fire, and help with fun farm tasks such as collecting eggs from our lovely chickens.

Q How much does it cost?

A. £9 per session and £14 for additional siblings for 2.5 hours. There will be no other costs, all equipment provided. Initially, please pay on arrival.

Q Do I have to book?

A. Yes please, bookings are required, please contact Bob on bob.mehew@apricotcentre.co.uk or call on 07507841158 to reserve places.

Q Do the children have to come every week or is it a drop-in?

A. Initially it will be drop-in (though we are asking people to book). We may move to half-term block book further down the line.
